The Graduate Certificate in Transition for Students with Disabilities enhances participants' understanding of cutting-edge transition planning while offering hands-on experience with assessment techniques, instructional methods, and community-business partnerships. Upon completing this certificate program, graduates will be equipped to: analyze and apply best practices in transition planning while maintaining access to general education; foster productive collaborations between businesses, communities, and students with disabilities; customize employment strategies that benefit both students and employers; establish partnerships with community organizations; teach self-advocacy and self-determination skills to students with disabilities; and address cultural diversity considerations in transition planning.
Applicants must have completed a bachelor’s degree prior to admission, with a minimum 2.75 cumulative undergraduate grade point average. Applicants with a graduate degree must have a minimum 3.0 graduate grade point average.
English proficiency requirement: TOEFL IBT - 79 – 120; IELTS - 6.5 - 9.0; Cambridge English Advanced/Cambridge English Proficiency - C1 level or higher.
