The Classical Studies program provides students with opportunities to examine the historical and cultural artifacts of antiquity. Although Latin or Greek language study remains mandatory, this concentration primarily focuses on advanced courses in Ancient History and Classical Civilization. Those aspiring to graduate work in ancient history or classical archaeology should aim to master both Latin and Greek beyond the program's basic requirements. The Classical Archaeology specialization takes an interdisciplinary approach, integrating language studies, historical knowledge, and archaeological artifacts with training in archaeological methods. Students engage in both academic coursework and hands-on experiences through fieldwork, museum studies, and international study programs.
