The Division of Landscape Architecture challenges students to approach environmental concerns tied to land use with innovative and analytical thinking. Student work is deeply connected to the Great Plains region, Oklahoma City's urban landscape, and rural communities throughout the state. Our program prepares graduates to excel in both public and private sector landscape architecture careers, equipping them with a robust environmental consciousness, exceptional design communication abilities, and insight into evolving resource challenges facing modern designers. Graduates will master efficient design methodologies, project coordination across various scales, and emerging research domains in planning and design. The Post-Professional Master of Landscape Architecture caters exclusively to those holding an accredited landscape architecture degree who wish to specialize in particular research or design concentrations. This advanced program enables thorough exploration of cutting-edge concepts, novel methodologies, and pertinent topics within the discipline. Students can leverage interdisciplinary resources spanning architecture, urban planning, environmental sciences, arts, and various other fields across campus. Admission requires an accredited undergraduate professional degree in landscape architecture from a North American institution. Depending on academic records and portfolio evaluations by program leadership, some students may need to complete supplemental coursework to address gaps or deficiencies in their prior education.
