The MLA Track II program enables students holding bachelor's degrees in environmental design disciplines—such as landscape architecture, architecture, urban design, or environmental design—to complete a Master of Landscape Architecture degree in two years (96 credits). Applicants with degrees from LAAB-, LAAC-, or NAAB-accredited programs face no prerequisite requirements, while those with other environmental design degrees must demonstrate completion of at least one year of environmental design studio coursework.
MLA II candidates merge with MLA I students during their second-year design studios, enrolling in foundational courses that build upon their prior design training alongside advanced classes supporting their independent research, design project, or thesis work. Each student pursues a customized academic plan tailored to their educational background.
