The Master in Medical Education program equips health professions educators with specialized expertise in curriculum development, teaching methodologies, evaluation techniques, and other key areas of healthcare education. Upon completing the program, graduates will gain the ability to:
create scientifically grounded educational programs and materials tailored to learners' needs,
provide high-quality instruction across various settings including classrooms, labs, and clinical environments,
assess teaching effectiveness through both ongoing and final evaluation approaches,
grasp core concepts of educational measurement and implement them in healthcare education contexts,
select appropriate assessment tools to enhance learning and measure educational outcomes,
comprehend foundational educational research principles and effectively utilize research findings,
implement essential program evaluation theories and methods in health professions education,
recognize emerging trends in healthcare education and access relevant resources for staying current,
cultivate reflective practice skills encompassing self-assessment and action planning for professional growth, and
understand technology's expanding influence in healthcare education and research.
A U.S. bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university, or an equivalent degree from another country as determined by the Office of Admissions with a minimum grade-point average (GPA) of 3.00.
English Language Requirements:
An IELTS (International English Language Testing System) total score of 7.0, with no sub score less than 6.0.
TOEFL score requirements with score of 81 or higher on the Internet-based version of the test (iBT) and newly admitted graduate students who present iBT scores below 100 on the PBT.
TOEFL score requirements with score of 550 on Paper-based test (PBT) and newly admitted graduate students who present TOEFL scores below 600 on the PBT.
