Advanced Certificate in Middle School Certification in Childhood Education (1-6) Certificate Extension to Grades 7, 8, and 9 in New York United States | St. John's University

Certificate holders in Adolescent Education can expand their qualifications: By passing EDU 7106 and 7107, candidates become eligible to teach grades 5 and 6 within their current certification subject.
This additional authorization permits instruction for grades 7 through 9 in the specialized field. Along with completing EDU 7106 and 7107, applicants need 30 credits (minimum grade of C) in their subject area and must pass the corresponding New York State CST. The School of Education's Certification Officer will evaluate all academic records during the application to verify fulfillment of content requirements for this credential expansion.
