The Master of Science program (36 credit hours) focuses on coursework covering toxicology fundamentals, chemical behavior in the environment, statistical methods for research design, as well as data management and interpretation, along with environmental toxicology seminars. Students select additional courses, research activities, and thesis work in consultation with their advisory committee to align with their specific research interests. Candidates must complete an independent research project, document their findings in a thesis, and publicly defend their work. Research specializations encompass diverse fields such as Aquatic Toxicology, Ecotoxicology, Health Sciences, Environmental Chemistry, Molecular Toxicology, Disease Research, Wildlife Toxicology, Advanced Materials, Protective Fabrics, and Chemical Threat Mitigation strategies.
