The RN-to-BSN program is designed for licensed registered nurses holding an associate degree in nursing (ADN) who wish to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. This fully online program consists of 30 credit hours, with students conducting practicum experiences within their local communities. Before enrolling, candidates must complete around 59 semester credit hours of prerequisite coursework spanning humanities, biological sciences, physical sciences, and behavioral sciences from a regionally accredited institution. The program accepts students for spring and summer terms, with completion possible in three to four semesters based on entry timing. Applicants need an active, unrestricted RN license or must obtain licensure by the program's first term end. Recent ADN graduates can apply but must pass the NCLEX exam within their first term. Those who earned their ADN through bridge programs (LVN-to-RN, paramedic, or diploma) require at least 35 transferable nursing credits. Note that students who move to another state during enrollment may face limitations in completing practicum courses due to varying state nursing board regulations.
