Seattle University's Advanced Practice Nursing Immersion (APNI) program provides a pathway for college graduates without healthcare experience to join the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program and train as advanced practice nurses. This unique DNP track attracts career-changers from various backgrounds who are pursuing nursing as their second profession. Our APNI to DNP program delivers an immersive, hands-on curriculum that thoroughly equips you to provide comprehensive care across diverse healthcare settings. Seattle University establishes the essential groundwork for a meaningful career shaping the next generation of healthcare leaders. This intensive full-time program spans four consecutive years. The initial five quarters concentrate on pre-licensure studies to ready you for the Registered Nurse (RN) examination. Subsequent doctoral studies over three years will develop your expertise as an advanced practice nurse. After successfully completing the four-year curriculum, you'll receive your Doctor of Nursing Practice degree. Following pre-licensure coursework and RN certification, you'll advance to doctoral studies in your chosen specialization.
