The department provides both Master of Arts and Doctor of Philosophy programs in Art History, with the M.A. serving as a stepping stone toward the Ph.D. Students cannot enroll solely for the master's degree. Beyond the listed specializations, learners may participate in interdisciplinary opportunities across the University, such as those available through the Center for the Study of Religion, the Center for Medieval and Renaissance Studies, and Film Studies, along with programs in East Asian Studies, Women's Studies, and the Institute for the Study of Race and Ethnicity. The Department also collaborates closely with the Wexner Center for the Arts and the Columbus Museum of Art.
A baccalaureate or professional degree (or equivalent foreign credential) from an accredited college or university, earned by the expected date of entry into your graduate program. A minimum of a 3.0 cumulative GPA (on a 4.0 scale) in all prior undergraduate and graduate work.
