Students may specialize in Animal Science with a concentration in nutrition through their coursework and research projects. Another option is pursuing an Animal Science major alongside a Nutrition co-major, with both appearing on the graduate transcript. Earning a Ph.D. in Animal Science demonstrates a candidate's capacity for independent, advanced research and academic excellence. This degree is awarded after showing mastery of a specialized discipline, completing original dissertation research, passing comprehensive exams in the chosen field and related areas, and successfully defending the dissertation. GRE scores
IELTS Academic-6.5 or higher (minimum of 6.5 in each sub score), Provide Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) with a total score of at least 80 on the Internet-based Test (iBT), and with minimum test scores for each section of: Listening 18 points, Reading 18 points, Writing 18 points, Speaking 18 points for admission , Toefl paper-based test requires a score of 550 or higher (with scores of 50 on at least two of the three sections and no section score below 45).
TOEFL scores (international students only)
The overall TOEFL score must be a minimum of 80 with a score of 18 in each category with no appeals. Review the current English proficiency requirements on the Graduate School website.
