We're delighted to showcase our department, offering students and faculty the chance to explore the vibrant and varied realm of insects. Entomology focuses on insect research, with concentrations in ecology, behavior, molecular biology, microbiology, neurobiology, physiology, population dynamics, systematics, and taxonomy. Applied fields cover apiculture, biological control, cell culture, insect conservation, insect-vector relationships, integrated pest management, and modeling. Active research spans aquatic ecosystems, forest environments, agricultural systems, public health, and both natural and urban settings.

Qualification Requirements

The preferred undergraduate GPA for admittance to the program is 3.00.

A GPA of 3.00 (on a 4.00 scale).

A 3.50 GPA (on a 4.00 scale) for prior graduate work is preferred for admission.

Other requirements to be completed before admission:

A bachelor's degree with a major in a biological science is a prerequisite. Preference is given to students with a broad background in the basic sciences.
