A student's academic program is only deemed satisfactory if it equips them to advance knowledge in Aerospace Engineering. The Doctor of Philosophy degree signifies exceptional accomplishments in scholarship and innovative research. Consequently, every Aerospace Engineering doctoral candidate must produce an outstanding dissertation. Students are required to adhere to the specified degree requirements to fulfill their Ph.D. studies.
Beginning Fall 2010, the Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Department will welcome applications for its new MS and PhD programs. Program specifics will be announced subsequently. The foundational curriculum will incorporate standard courses in the discipline. A comparative analysis conducted during proposal development shaped the program's framework. An academic plan is only considered adequate if it enables students to push forward knowledge in Mechanical Engineering. To meet this goal, the program mandates at least 48 credit hours of graduate-level coursework beyond a Bachelor of Science degree. The PhD degree represents excellence in scholarly work and pioneering research. Thus, all Mechanical Engineering doctoral candidates must submit a high-caliber dissertation. Students MUST comply with the mechanical engineering degree requirements outlined below to complete their PhD program.
