Qualification Requirements

Applicants must meet or exceed the University of Oklahoma Graduate College Requirements. Additionally applicants should have, or be about to, successfully complete coursework for an aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, or related degree program.

To have a competitive application, applicants should meet or exceed:
3.2 GPA (on a 4.0 scale) for the most recent two years of their academic work
Verbal GRE Score: > 157
Quantitative GRE Score: >163
Analytical Writing GRE Score: > 4

Previous research experience and publications will also be a significant factor in an applicant's evaluation, especially for the Ph.D. program. Recommendation letters and other demonstrations of academic and research skills will be taken into account as well.
Students are expected to participate fully and effectively in all classroom educational activities. For this reason, the University requires all students for whom English is not a native language to demonstrate satisfactory language proficiency by earning a score of 550 (written), 213 (computer based), 79 (IBT) or greater on the TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) examination before being admitted.Scoring 6.5 or higher on the IELTS
