The AE doctoral program represents the School's most challenging academic offering. Beyond completing 42 credit-hours of post-bachelor's coursework, candidates must design and implement original research leading to a dissertation. You'll collaborate closely with leading experts in the field while meeting rigorous program requirements: passing a comprehensive qualifying exam in your second year, presenting a polished thesis proposal, and defending your research outcomes. Maintaining a 3.25 GPA is mandatory for PhD completion.

AE doctoral alumni hold faculty positions at prestigious universities worldwide and lead advanced research initiatives in corporate, governmental, and defense sectors - frequently building upon the specialized expertise they developed during their doctoral studies at AE.
