Madonna University's Master of Arts in Early Childhood Education equips you with specialized skills for educating children from birth through age 8. This comprehensive program fulfills Michigan's requirements for the Early Childhood ZS Endorsement and welcomes both certified Michigan teachers and graduates with degrees in Child Development or Children and Families.
After completing the program, certified Michigan teachers can pursue the ZS endorsement by passing the required examination, following consultation with Madonna University's Teacher Certification Officer.
Throughout this advanced degree, you'll develop expertise in establishing nurturing, inclusive educational settings that account for diverse learning influences. Admission to the MAT: Early Childhood Education program is determined on the basis of the following criteria:
Possession of a bachelor degree from a regionally accredited institution, with an undergraduate grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. (An average below 3.0 will be reviewed for conditional admission.)
Internet based TOEFL (iBT, Test of English as a Foreign Language) with a minimum score of 80; or
TOEFL paper-and-pencil test with a minimum score of 550, accompanied by the Test of Written English (TWE) with a minimum score of 5; or
IELTS score of 6.5+; or
PTE Academic score of 53
