This program is designed for those who do not need a teaching license (either because they already possess one or aren't pursuing roles requiring licensure). It leads to either an EdM or MS degree, with the MS requiring a thesis.
The Infancy & Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) program trains students to support young children with disabilities and their families. The master's curriculum is founded on key principles: (1) families play a vital role in professional partnerships and are essential team members, (2) children actively engage in their learning process, and (3) all parties benefit from shared knowledge among team members. The program combines coursework with practical experiences to foster professional development, emphasizing self-reflection throughout the training.
