The Bachelor of Arts in International Studies equips students with the foundational knowledge to effectively interact across diverse national, cultural, linguistic, and socioeconomic contexts. This program emphasizes foreign language proficiency and requires international experience, cultivating essential skills for thriving in global settings. With adaptable curriculum requirements, students gain both specialized and comprehensive understanding of regional and thematic studies. The program begins with two introductory courses selected from key focus areas: global health and environment, international development, human rights and legal systems, cross-cultural communication and arts, identity and conflict studies, and global security and governance. Advanced 300- and 400-level coursework then deepens expertise in the student's selected thematic focus. Additionally, each student must select an approved regional specialization in consultation with their academic advisor.
