Students pursuing Africana Studies examine the diverse experiences of African, African American, Afro-Latin, Afro-Caribbean, and Afro-European communities worldwide through multiple academic lenses. This cross-disciplinary program incorporates methodologies from sociology, psychology, literature, anthropology, political science, and history to address key societal challenges affecting African-descended populations across the continent and throughout the global African Diaspora.
Through this program, learners develop proficiency in applying interdisciplinary cultural and social frameworks, integrating intersectional theory with practical research, honing critical analysis, strengthening written and verbal communication abilities, and deepening their understanding of Diasporic African communities.
