Drexel's Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Global Studies program helps students gain a fresh perspective on the world while developing crucial skills to analyze global political, social, economic, and environmental influences. This hands-on, multidisciplinary major with language components engages students with pressing global topics like renewable energy, climate initiatives, economic development, healthcare equality, diplomacy, and other critical issues. Through international study options, practical work opportunities, and community involvement both locally and globally, students bridge language and cultural understanding across various academic fields. Drexel encourages students to analyze America's role within global frameworks alongside other nations, fostering a truly international outlook.
Students in the Global Studies program select from four specialized tracks, complete a mandatory language or area studies minor, and can enhance their expertise through tailored electives and certifications. These prepare graduates for diverse career paths in sectors including commerce, economics, legal fields, policymaking, healthcare, and media, as well as non-profits, government agencies, and international institutions. High-achieving students may qualify for combined degree programs in business, international education, communications, or public health, enabling them to earn both undergraduate and graduate degrees simultaneously.
