The program blends classroom instruction, hands-on lab training, and real-world clinical practice. The lecture component (7 credit hours) addresses both the National EMS Education Standards for EMTs and state-mandated competencies. Lab sessions (3 credit hours) involve practicing and demonstrating skills through simulated patient scenarios. Clinical rotations (2 credit hours) offer direct patient care experience during ambulance transports and hospital placements. EMT courses are available at Dale Mabry, Plant City, and South Shore campuses.
