This Technical Associate's Degree is designed as a completion program exclusively for students holding either an EMT-B certification or a Paramedic Certificate (whether National or Ohio state-issued). The EMT-B/paramedic credential grants students 30 hours of technical block credit toward this degree. To earn the Technical Associate's degree, students must complete an additional 30 credit hours of General Education coursework.

Qualification Requirements

As a first-year student, you will need to take an English and mathematics placement test if you have not obtained the minimum ACT/SAT score required for exemption. These tests do not affect your admission, however, the results are essential for your proper placement in classes. You must complete placement tests before you register for English or mathematics courses. All placement tests are given free of charge.

You must be at least 18 years old, have a current driver's license, and have a high school diploma or GED or equivalent.

Duolingo: 100 overall, 100 Production score, 100 Conversation
TOEFL: 79 iBT, 15 sub-score, 20 - writing, 20 - speaking
Cambridge: 176, recommended exam - C1 Advanced
IELTS: 6.5 overall, 5.5 sub-score, 6 - writing, 6 - speak
SAT-I: 480 evidenced-based reading & writing
ELS: 112 graduation
