The Russian and East European Studies program offers an interdisciplinary Master of Arts (MA) or Master of Science (MS) degree. This curriculum provides students with comprehensive knowledge of the languages, cultures, histories, and current political and economic landscapes of Russia and Eastern Europe. The program takes a wide-ranging, cross-disciplinary approach that compares multiple nations. Students can take courses across various fields including political science, economics, public administration, geography, history, languages, literature, religion, philosophy, urban planning, and art history. Many graduates pursue careers in government, business, international agencies, media, or education. For others, the program serves as preparation for doctoral studies, helping them build language skills, regional expertise, and graduate-level experience before entering PhD programs in disciplines related to Russian and East European Studies.
