The Systems and Behavioral Neuroscience research team comprises students and professors from various disciplines united by a core mission: deciphering the biological foundations of behavior. This interdisciplinary collective focuses on studying monoamine pathways, peptide neurotransmitters, and the effects of psychostimulant drugs. Current investigations utilize advanced techniques including neurochemical analysis, electrophysiology, computational modeling, brain imaging, neuroanatomy, and behavioral assessments to explore both healthy brain operations and the pathophysiology of neurological, neurodegenerative, and mental health conditions.
