The Neuroscience Curriculum is a cross-departmental PhD program that integrates multiple disciplines to study the brain. With faculty spanning 15 departments and specialized research centers, we share a common goal of investigating neural systems, brain function, behavior, and neurological conditions. Our researchers employ advanced genetic, molecular, cellular, behavioral, and imaging techniques to explore brain development and operation. The program offers exceptional coursework, comprehensive training in scientific communication, and varied research opportunities for rotations and dissertation work, supported by 61 core faculty members.
The Neuroscience Curriculum (NBIO) emphasizes interdisciplinary methods for brain research. Over 75 faculty across 12 departments and 5 specialized research centers contribute to this collaborative initiative.
The minimum requirements are a bachelor's degree (based on a four-year curriculum) completed before graduate study begins or its international equivalent with an accredited institution; an average grade of B (cumulative GPA 3.0) or better.
The required minimum total score on the exams are internet-based TOEFL exam = 90, The IELTS exam = 7.
