The Six-Year Medical Program (6MDP) is designed for high school graduates who excelled in science subjects.
This program begins with Northumbria University's Applied Science Foundation Year, a preparatory course that qualifies students for various bachelor's degree programs. Upon successful completion of the Foundation Year and meeting progression criteria, students advance to the Five-Year Medical Pathway (5MDP). Note: Progression to 5MDP requires taking the Introduction to Biomedical Sciences module during the Foundation Year.
