Experience life as a doctor from your very first day, engaging with real patients in hospital wards right from the beginning of your medical education. This early exposure gives you authentic insight into healthcare professions.

Most instruction occurs at Ninewells Hospital in Dundee, immersing you in a functioning NHS environment. This hands-on approach strengthens your medical foundation and shapes you into a competent, practice-ready junior physician.

Our accessible ward policy empowers all medical students to visit hospital departments whenever they wish, facilitating direct patient interactions at any stage of training.

Our specialized Clinical Skills Center features a realistic ward simulation where you'll hone clinical abilities through work with both actual patients and medical actors, preparing you for real-world situations.

The innovative immersion room recreates emergency department intensity, challenging you to provide critical care to simulated patients in high-pressure scenarios.

At our Surgical Skills Center, you'll master essential operative techniques and develop comprehensive understanding of surgical processes.

Our contemporary learning facilities extend across multiple regional hospitals and general practices throughout Tayside and Scotland, offering diverse clinical experiences.

With approximately 220 students per year, our medical school's intimate scale fosters strong connections among peers and faculty, creating an immediate sense of belonging.

The program begins with our Medicine Foundation block, establishing core scientific principles that form the basis of medical thinking and clinical decision-making.

During your initial three years, you'll progressively study human body systems through our spiral curriculum, continuously expanding your medical knowledge.
