Our Graduate Entry Medicine program stands out as the only one of its kind in Wales and among just a few comparable medical programs across the UK, welcoming graduates from all academic backgrounds, both domestic and international. This intensive four-year medical degree features an innovative, spiral curriculum modeled after real-world clinical approaches to patient care.
You'll explore fundamental biomedical sciences through the lens of clinical practice, public health, pathology, treatment methods, ethical considerations, and psychosocial aspects of patient care. Alongside rigorous training in clinical and communication skills, you'll cultivate the academic knowledge, practical abilities, and personal qualities needed to practice medicine effectively and with assurance.
With approximately 150 student places, our intimate medical school ensures close interaction with faculty members and early patient exposure starting in your first term.
Welsh speakers have the opportunity to complete 50-credit Doctor as Professional modules in Welsh each year, with potential eligibility for internal scholarships or financial assistance through Coleg Cymraeg.
Upon finishing the program, you'll earn an MBBCh degree from Swansea University, qualifying you to enter the UK Foundation Programme for new medical graduates and commence your clinical training journey
