Throughout the program, you'll benefit from guidance by our expert medical faculty within a close-knit academic environment. Additional support includes peer mentoring programs, tutoring services, and participation in medical student organizations.
Successful completion earns you a Certificate of Higher Education in Life Sciences for Medicine, with high achievers gaining direct admission to Year 1 of our Medicine program.
Held at the University's City Campus, the curriculum covers fundamental subjects including:
basic anatomical principles
biological systems and organisms
The program integrates core scientific disciplines like chemistry, mathematics, and physics with their applications in life sciences.
Weekly sessions at Ninewells Hospital's School of Medicine complement your studies.
A key component is the Clinical Skills Orientation module, where you'll learn patient examination techniques and emergency response procedures. Observing medical students during hospital rotations provides valuable patient interaction experience.
