The field of medicine offers diverse and rewarding career paths. Our program prepares you with the academic knowledge, clinical expertise, and professional competencies required to begin your journey as a physician, while also laying the groundwork for advanced training opportunities both in the UK and internationally. Upon graduation, you'll receive provisional registration and a practice license from the General Medical Council. This enables you to apply for the UK's 2-year Foundation Training program, with full registration granted after successfully completing the first year.
Career prospects after graduation
Earning an MBBS degree from Brunel Medical School grants you a primary medical qualification (PMQ). This credential permits you to seek provisional registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) and obtain a license to practice in approved Foundation Year 1 positions across the UK.
As a graduate of a UK medical school, you'll qualify to apply for the UK Foundation Programme's Foundation Year (FY) Clinical Training upon successful completion of your MBBS degree (subject to current Visa Regulations).
