These three integrated programs offer students adaptable pathways for full-time education, enabling them to complete the courses over multiple years or consecutively within one year. Learners can begin with the Post-Graduate Certificate in the Autumn semester through face-to-face, online, or hybrid formats. After the Autumn semester, students may choose to graduate with the Certificate or proceed to on-campus studies in the spring semester to earn the Postgraduate Diploma. Those who wish to continue can advance to the summer semester to attain the Master of Arts in Irish Music Studies.
These programs leverage the Academy's extensive interdisciplinary knowledge, examining and broadening concepts of Irish music from both historical and modern viewpoints. The Irish World Academy of Music and Dance stands as a premier institution for Irish traditional music studies, and while this genre influences parts of the Masters curriculum, it represents just one of several Irish musical traditions available within the program. Participants also have the option to incorporate their performance or compositional work into their studies, where relevant and desired.
