This Food Science and Health degree program addresses growing demands from consumers, food manufacturers, academic institutions, and government bodies. You'll discover the curriculum both intellectually stimulating and fulfilling. The program integrates nutritional studies, human physiology, and diet-health connections with fundamental food science and technological principles. Spanning four years, the course begins with foundational sciences, covering essential subjects like chemistry, biochemistry, microbiology, human nutrition, physiology, along with introductory food science and health concepts.
A year-long final year project enables comprehensive exploration of a pertinent subject, offering students the chance to conduct autonomous research.
In the Spring Semester of third year and the following Summer, Cooperative Education provides hands-on work experience within the food industry.
