UCD's Animal and Crop Production program provides an in-depth education covering both the scientific and business aspects of livestock and plant cultivation. Students explore advancements in agricultural practices, acquiring extensive knowledge about growth processes, biological systems, resource efficiency, agricultural economics, environmental considerations, and techniques for establishing productive yet sustainable farming operations. Additionally, the curriculum develops communication and technology competencies to navigate changing technical, financial, and policy landscapes.
Through hands-on learning at UCD's Lyons Farm and global internship opportunities, graduates emerge with comprehensive training ready for diverse roles in agricultural enterprises, livestock and crop sectors, advisory services, and public sector organizations.
