Our psychology program holds accreditation from the Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI), the recognized professional organization for psychology in Ireland. This PSI accreditation allows graduates with honors from our program to continue their professional psychology education.
The BA (Honours) in Psychology at NCI is recognized by the Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI), Ireland's leading professional psychology organization. This recognition provides our honors graduates with pathways to advanced professional training in psychology.
The program delivers comprehensive training across psychology's fundamental disciplines, covering cognitive psychology, personality studies, developmental psychology, social psychology, research methodologies, biological psychology, plus specialized areas like organizational psychology and digital psychology.
Students completing this program gain a thorough understanding of psychological principles and human behavior, develop critical analysis and scientific research skills, and learn to apply psychological knowledge in professional, community, and societal contexts.
Duration: 3 years
Minimum entry requirements are a grade H5 and above in two higher level subjects together with a minimum of O6/H7 in four other subjects. A minimum of grade O6/H7 must be obtained in English. A grade O6/H7 must be obtained in Mathematics.
