The Bachelor of Science in Veterinary Nursing at MTU's Kerry Campus equips students to become skilled and responsible veterinary nurses. This program combines academic rigor with hands-on training to prepare graduates for successful careers in veterinary nursing.
Students will develop a solid understanding of veterinary nursing fundamentals through conventional teaching approaches enhanced by cutting-edge immersive technologies. The curriculum includes numerous chances to apply scientific concepts during on-campus labs, workshops, and mandatory veterinary practice placements in years 2 and 3. Practical training covers all essential competencies for working with dogs, cats, horses, livestock, and exotic animals.
The program focuses on four key areas of student growth: Fundamental Science and Clinical Understanding, Veterinary Nursing Expertise, Hands-on Skill Development, and Professional Veterinary Nursing Standards.
