The Food and Bioproduct Sciences (FABS) program offers a comprehensive, interdisciplinary curriculum integrating biology, chemistry, physics, microbiology, engineering, and technological processes for creating food and bioproducts from plant, animal, and microbial sources. This program aims to deliver specialized education in applying these scientific fields to enhance agricultural practices both before and after harvest, increasing the value of raw agricultural materials. The P.G.D. in FABS focuses on teaching students to transform biological resources into nutritious foods and marketable bioproducts that promote human wellness, environmental protection, and a sustainable bio-based economy.
