Sustainability focuses on preserving the essential conditions for human and environmental health. As a vital concern for all living beings, it demands a comprehensive strategy that spans political, social, scientific, and technological dimensions.

UBC Okanagan's interdisciplinary graduate program in sustainability moves beyond traditional methods, uniting varied viewpoints, analytical tools, and methodologies to tackle sustainability challenges. Students gain from the combined expertise of four faculties and eight departments, along with collaborative prospects fostered by the program's cross-disciplinary structure.
The MSc and MA degrees in sustainability provide graduate students with access to renowned researchers across multiple disciplines, all working within a unified, theme-based framework.

Program graduates will develop a sophisticated grasp of modern sustainability challenges and learn to address them through an integrated systems approach, blending insights from applied sciences, natural sciences, social sciences, and humanities. This prepares them for careers in government, industry, and academic research or education.
