The 31-credit nursing administration program equips future nurse administrators for diverse healthcare settings. These professionals typically oversee nursing teams, specific units, or shifts. While they may engage in patient care, their primary focus is management responsibilities. A distinctive aspect of this program includes the opportunity to take three MBA courses from the Cotsakos College of Business.
Students can pursue this program either part-time or full-time. After finishing the required theory and practicum courses, graduates qualify to take certification exams through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or the American Organization of Nurse Executives (AONE), including the Nurse Executive, Advanced Certification, Certified Nurse Manager and Leader (CNML), or Executive Nursing Practice (CENP) exams. Certification options depend on professional experience. This program is currently available exclusively online.
