The Cal State East Bay Master of Science in Nursing Program aims to equip nurses from our culturally diverse community with the skills to excel as educators, leaders, and administrators across clinical, organizational, and academic environments. The curriculum enhances undergraduate nursing foundations, fostering comprehensive expertise and advanced competencies required for elevated nursing practice and leadership roles. Students benefit from a streamlined transition to doctoral studies, whether pursuing practice-focused or research-oriented degrees. Delivered through flexible online and hybrid formats, the program can be finished within four semesters.
Graduates of the Master of Science in Nursing program will achieve the following competencies:
Apply theoretical and evidence-based knowledge of ethical/legal standards, advanced nursing practice, and clinical excellence to professional roles in healthcare, education, and leadership settings.
Drive transformative improvements in care quality while demonstrating leadership in advanced nursing roles within our multicultural society.
Evaluate research findings to enhance decision-making in nursing practice, care delivery, and outcomes assessment across various healthcare environments.
Implement healthcare technologies to strengthen interdisciplinary teamwork, improving clinical practice, education, and organizational operations.
Create equitable, ethical, and progressive nursing approaches for preventive care and population health management serving individuals, families, and communities throughout healthcare systems.
