Western Washington University's College of the Environments offers a BA in Environmental Policy that equips students with the knowledge and skills to shape impactful policies. This program emphasizes sustainable resource use and environmental adaptability while critically examining perspectives and socioeconomic factors influencing resource distribution across different communities and regions. More than 200 graduates have earned this degree, with numerous alumni now working in policy leadership, program development, and strategic initiatives for environmental progress.
The curriculum prioritizes collaborative solutions and policy development to address pressing ecological challenges including global warming, environmental contamination, and agricultural instability. These policies safeguard culturally significant, health-conscious, and economically sustainable environments both domestically and internationally. We take pride in delivering this program and maintaining our global network of community collaborations, where students directly apply their education to support sustainability efforts in local communities.
