Students pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture must fulfill requirements I, II, and either III.A, III.B, or III.C, along with the major's foreign language/global studies component. Agriculture majors can select from three pathways: Agricultural Business, Agricultural Science, or Agriculture Teacher Education. Each pathway offers opportunities for technical specialization. The degree requires a minimum of 120 semester hours. Up to 6 hours of unstructured courses (AGRI 200, 301, 400, 481, 499) can apply toward the major. At least 24 hours of Agriculture coursework must be completed at WIU or another four-year institution. No more than 29 hours may be taken in traditional business disciplines (including Accountancy, Business Law, Finance, Marketing, and related fields).
