The expansion of the poultry sector has increased demand for expertise in scientific, technical, and business disciplines essential for effective poultry farming. Few scientific domains offer greater benefits from mastering foundational sciences—including nutrition, genetics, physiology, disease management, biotechnology, processing, and marketing—than contemporary, high-efficiency poultry and food production systems. The program equips students with fundamental knowledge, analytical abilities, problem-solving techniques, and leadership skills tailored for sophisticated production facilities, hatcheries, feed mills, processing plants, and research labs. With the industry's swift expansion, graduates enjoy abundant professional prospects. The curriculum offers two specialization tracks, allowing students to align their studies with career aspirations. Both specializations mandate completion of University Core Curriculum and Poultry Science Core courses. Students then earn a B.S. degree by fulfilling their chosen track's requirements. Early and regular academic advising is highly recommended and easily accessible for all participants.
