Montana State's Animal Science program allows students to explore fundamental biological sciences related to livestock and rangeland ecosystems, covering areas like animal genetics, reproductive biology, dietary needs, and production systems. This specialized track caters to dedicated learners aiming for advanced education, with alumni pursuing careers in veterinary medicine, human medicine, and postgraduate research.
The Animal Science degree at Montana State features two additional specialization paths: Livestock Management & Industry and Equine Studies.
Freshmen will be considered for admission on the basis of their secondary school record and their English proficiency. Applicants who can prove their English language proficiency and have a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 2.5/4.0 on a U.S. scale will qualify for admission.
