The Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Religion is provided through the Graduate School's Department of Religion. Applicants can enter the Ph.D. program after completing a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or a post-baccalaureate degree from an approved seminary or graduate institution. Those holding an M.Div. or M.A. may qualify for direct Ph.D. admission. Typically, bachelor's degree holders begin in the M.A. program first. Finishing the M.A. establishes a basis for doctoral work but doesn't ensure Ph.D. program acceptance. B.A. graduates should evaluate both the Graduate School's M.A. program and the two-year Master of Theological Studies (M.T.S.) program as potential pathways.
Students must have a M.Div., M.T.S., or M.A. degree

For IELTS, the minimum acceptable score will vary by program. In many cases, a score of at least 7.0 is desirable.
