The Department of Spanish and Portuguese provides undergraduate degree programs in Spanish as well as combined Spanish and Portuguese studies. Students can also pursue an interdisciplinary major combining Spanish with European studies.
Spanish ranks among Vanderbilt's most sought-after majors. With one of North America's most comprehensive undergraduate curricula in Hispanic and Luso-Brazilian studies, Vanderbilt students actively engage with these diverse course options. Many department students pursue dual majors, blending their language and cultural studies with other academic interests.
All candidates for admission must present transcripts of work completed in high school.
