The European Union Studies certificate program is administered by the European Council within the University System of Georgia. Available to all University System institutions, enrolled students, and degree-holding professionals, this initiative aims to enhance understanding of the European Union while certifying participants' proficiency in EU-related subjects. Given the EU's status as America's foremost economic and political ally, this credential signals significant professional competence to employers. Academic students can obtain this interdisciplinary certification alongside any standard bachelor's degree. Requirements include completing an 18-credit curriculum and a practical experience component, maintaining a minimum 3.0 GPA in program courses. Upon graduation, recipients receive an official certificate that appears on their permanent academic records.

Proof of completion of the equivalent of English 1101 and/or 1102 with a grade of C or better at an accredited U.S. institution
Minimum scores on one of the following approved English-proficiency tests:
