This two-year program enables students to earn an Associate of Applied Science Degree (AAS) in Nursing. Upon successful completion, graduates qualify to pursue RN licensure and begin their nursing careers. Admission is competitive with limited availability.
The USU AAS Nursing Program integrates nursing theory with foundational knowledge from biological, physical, and behavioral sciences through classroom instruction. Hands-on learning occurs in nursing skills labs and diverse clinical settings including hospitals, long-term care facilities, outpatient clinics, home healthcare, and other medical environments. The program holds accreditation from the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) and approval from the Utah State Board of Nursing.

Official high school/secondary school transcripts with grades from the last three years with a minimum GPA of 2.7 or 660 total on the General Education Development (GED) exam (550 Battery Average prior to 2014). Some majors may have a higher GPA or GED requirement.

TOEFL Internet-based (iBT) exam score of at least 71
