This two-year program enables students to earn an Associate of Applied Science Degree (AAS) in Nursing. Upon successful completion, graduates qualify to pursue RN licensure and begin their nursing careers. Admission is competitive with limited availability.
The USU AAS Nursing Program integrates nursing theory with foundational knowledge from biological, physical, and behavioral sciences through classroom instruction. Hands-on learning occurs in nursing skills labs and diverse clinical settings including hospitals, long-term care facilities, outpatient clinics, home healthcare, and other medical environments. The program holds accreditation from the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) and approval from the Utah State Board of Nursing.
