Nurses play a more crucial role today than ever before, especially during this period of healthcare provider shortages. Representing the largest segment of healthcare professionals in the U.S., nurses serve across diverse environments such as clinics, hospitals, long-term care centers, and community health settings. This academic track is tailored for students aiming to transition into a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program at a four-year institution. The Associate of Arts degree with a Pre-Nursing focus allows students to complete their science and general education requirements at South before transferring to pursue nursing coursework and obtain their BSN. Note that graduates of this pathway must complete their BSN program before being eligible to sit for the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-RN) for registered nurses.
Applicants can apply who are high school graduates; or 18 years of age or older.
We accept an IELTS score of 6.0 overall with 5.0 or higher on the writing section, or a TOEFL (iBT) score of 64 overall with 17 or higher on the writing section.
