Working alongside various academic departments at UW-Milwaukee, SOIS enables students to pursue dual Master's degrees simultaneously—one in Library and Information Science (MLIS) and another in a chosen discipline. The MLIS portion of these joint programs consists of 30 credit hours from SOIS coursework. This includes the required MLIS foundational courses (12 credits), with the remaining 18 MLIS credits chosen from the School's curriculum to align with each student's objectives in the combined degree path. This integrated approach aims to equip students with both theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience in emerging information management systems while fostering expertise in feminist academic inquiry.
