The American Library Association accredits the Master of Arts in Library and Information Science program at the School of Information. Graduates pursue professional opportunities in libraries, museums, archival institutions, government agencies, and corporate information departments. The complete program requires 37 credit units.

Admission to the Library and Information Science Master’s degree program is granted by the director of the School of Information, upon recommendation of the School of Information Admissions Committee and the Graduate College. International Applicants: Per immigration regulations, students admitted to a graduate program must enroll in a total of 9 units, of which 6 of those units must be courses taught in-person and only 3 online units may be used toward full-time enrollment.
